THEORY OF STATE AND LAWAbstract
The article examines the phenomenon of public trust in government as a fundamental factor of political stability and state development. Trust is highlighted as the essential foundation of the social contract between citizens and state institutions, ensuring the protection of human rights and freedoms. Special attention is given to the current situation in Kazakhstan after political crises and the events of “Qandy Qantar,” where issues of trust have become particularly relevant. The study analyzes the causes of the crisis of trust, including corruption, lack of transparency, and low efficiency of public institutions. Based on international experience and sociological research, the author outlines ways to restore trust through democratization, openness, and citizen participation in governance. The article concludes with the need to build a “Fair Kazakhstan” as a state centered on human rights, dignity, and freedoms
